Paper Sorcerer (no 3d support but looks great and the headtracking worked well)ĭark Souls II (haven't got the first one working right yet) Risen (light head tracking works fine here) Here are a list of games I've tried in this mode that I've felt worked well with the added features:ĭead Space (second favorite of my tests, headtracking with the gun recital was a little finicky)

It's almost like looking through a giant hall as opposed to something being projected on a giant screen. The way the camera is positioned and the movement in that game works hand in hand with the theater mode. Also turn of the theater models for extra added atmosphere. Turn off some the shadows, turn up the 3D Geometry a bit, and add in some slight headtracking in instances you want to look around the environment and you are good to go. My favorite game to play in this mode is Legend of Grimrock I and II. The games that have the 3D Geometry and headtracking support give VorpX's theater a leg up over other virtual screens I've tested for games (like in Virtual Desktop). Thankfully the theater mode was included that made the purchase worth it for me.

None of the settings I've tried looks or felt natural. I guess I was so used to built in VR experiences that everything felt too "off" for me. When I got VorpX I was pretty disappointed with the forced VR for first person games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls.
